Accommodations
The 20 cabins at Black Rock Lodge boast stunning views of Black Rock Canyon, the Macal River, and the surrounding rainforest and wildlife. The cabins are airy one-room structures built to take advantage of the fresh mountain breezes. All our cabins come equipped with hammocks, Wi-Fi, and have paved walkways right to the door.
Cool breeze at night and maximized jungle views, from slanted roofs with top air vents to create peaceful airflow in all of our cabins
Careful planning of our cabin locations ensure that tall trees surround our accommodations, with the guaranteed shade providing a comfortable stay, even in Belize’s warmer months. All our windows have louvres and screens to keep unwanted visitors out and cool breezes in. Several cabins are equipped with air conditioning, while every cabin has a ceiling fan with additional standing fans available on request.
Many of our cabins have the capacity for one or two additional sleeper beds for larger families visiting us. All cabins have en-suite bathrooms and closet areas, plus hangers. The slate stone featured in walls and floors of the Classic and Riverview cabins are sourced from areas on the Black Rock property. These were foundations of the original cabins, harkening back to the beginnings of Black Rock Lodge in the early 1990s. The absence of TV in our rooms keeps this property true to its mission: to be a sustainable eco-resort immersing guests in nature.
